RCS Fifth Graders are Busy at BizTown!

Name a place where, as a 10 or 11-year-old, you can run a business, vote for mayor, write checks and more. JA BizTown is exactly that place, giving students real-world experiences to mimic a real-world economy.

All of our fifth-grade classes are taking field trips to BizTown, where they are able to connect what they learn in the classroom with the real world. Arriving at BizTown, students participate in a 4-5 hour visit with a hands-on, simulated community experience. There is a city hall, bank, restaurant, insurance company and more. From Financial Literacy to Community, from Career Readiness to Business Management, there is something for everyone at BizTown!
